Reviewing my "retirement" list from July 2012

So many people wonder what they will do to fill their time when they retire.  I was encouraged to make a list.  It was long!  Now, with a full schedule of grandparenting and an active garden and bees to tend to, I wonder how I ever worked?!

Adult literacy

Art classes --  June 1, 2016 signed up for a Craftsy class on how to draw

Backyard homestead --  busy all the time with 6 chickens, 12 fruit trees, avocado trees, berries, veggies....

Bees  -- Bee adventure began May 25th 2016 when we picked up our first two new nucleus hives

Blogging/Writing -- Continuing to write in my Morning pages (sporadically) and in my Book clutter blog.  Bcllutter.blogspot.com

Crafting

Desert adventures -- I love the high desert and our cabin that we retreat to.  Fun to unwind, sort papers, work on projects and enjoy the desert life

Dinner in the oven when jeff walks in the door -- Not so much.  Will work on that!

Exercise and health -- Lost 22 pounds since November 2015.  Loving my Fitbit

Foxfire Arts

Gardening -- I had a fantastic winter garden.  Today, June 2, will plant more veggies since some creature destroyed my April plantings.

Genealogy and Family Stories

Grandparenting (hint!) -- Oh My!  Cosmo and Indigo are the lights of my life!  I babysit anywhere between three and four days a week.

Home decorating -- With my Glendale freelance and Infopeople monies, I invested in our home with a new roof (2012), new driveway and extended porch (2014), odd repairs, and now looking at resurfacing the pool (2016)

Knitting

Mammoth adventures -- I broke my arm while Spring skiing in 2013.  Very painful.  Took a few years off and have pledged to lose another 28 pounds before I get on skis again this Winter
